Munich, July 29, 2021 – Protecting the environment, conserving natural resources and taking responsibility for future generations are issues that concern all companies. Not least due to the so-called “climate ruling” by the Federal Constitutional Court at the end of April 2021, the topic has gained further momentum: In future, all the innovative power of the markets should ensure that the costs of complying with the greenhouse gas budget are as low as possible. Avantgarde is now also making a relevant contribution to this and other sustainability issues such as social justice, inclusion and education: together with former professional skier Felix Neureuther and the founder of the agency cemano communication Marc Socher, the group is launching the first agency for sustainability in sponsorship in Germany. Green Game combines sound know-how from the sponsorship and sustainability segments and addresses both sponsors and sponsorship recipients such as associations, events, clubs, institutions, athletes and musicians.
With Felix Neureuther, Avantgarde has gained a partner for the agency with excellent connections in the world of sport. The 37-year-old ex-professional athlete has been involved in ecology for some time and has also set up his own foundation. With this, he is implementing the “Beweg Dich schlau” project, which aims to motivate children to exercise more. Neureuther: “Sustainability is particularly important to me as a family man and sportsman. The idea for Green Game therefore immediately appealed to me and I am looking forward to exciting and sustainable projects.”
Sports economist and marketing expert Marc Socher can look back on many years of experience as a consultant in the field of sponsorship: as founder and managing director of the agency cemano communication, which was acquired by CAA Sports in 2016, he has advised companies such as Allianz, MINI, Henkel, E.ON, ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland GmbH and MAN in the past. The 49-year-old is Managing Director of the Green Game agency. Socher: “With Green Game, we want to support all sponsorship participants in their sustainability efforts and use sponsorship as a platform to communicate the topic with a wide reach.”
Avantgarde founder and CEO Martin Schnaack: “Sustainability concerns us all and we are convinced that with Green Game we can offer the market an additional profitable product from the existing Avantgarde portfolio. The fact that we have Marc and Felix on board gives the project additional momentum.”
