EMH 10th Annual General Meeting – A Pivotal Moment for Germany and Europe
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming more than 100 investors, entrepreneurs, CEOs and partners to Schloss Elmau for our 10th Annual General Meeting. Over two days, we explored why we believe this is a pivotal moment for Germany and Europe, and what it takes to turn today’s structural shifts into long-term opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs.
“The size and quality of the opportunity is far greater in Europe than I think people see today.” Mark Nicolson, Patria Investments. Marko Papic (BCA Research) opened the discussion on Thursday morning with “Why Structural Forces Now Favor Europe.” Prof. Wolfgang A. Herrmann (Technische Universität München) explored Germany’s ability to build category leaders where technology, engineering and entrepreneurship meet. Peer Joost (DIGITEC Financial Technologies and Services) then presented “Automating the Market the World Runs On” a compelling example of German technology competing on a global stage.
In “Where Your Puck Will Be,” Curt Simon Harlinghausen (QAware GmbH) challenged us to anticipate how technology turns know-how into sustainable value. Bjorn Tremmerie (European Investment Fund (EIF)) closed with “Backing Europe’s Growth Engine,” sharing the EIF’s perspective on what it takes to support Europe’s next generation of growth companies.
“All the stars align. We have entrepreneurial spirit back at very high levels. We have bravery with the governments as well, putting money in the critical sectors that are important for the autonomy and sovereignty of Europe.” – Bjorn Tremmerie, EIF.
A heartfelt thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us and contributed to the exceptional quality of the discussions and exchange.
At EMH Partners, we believe Europe has the ingredients to win. The opportunity lies in backing the entrepreneurs who can turn them into global leadership. We’re excited to capture this opportunity and look forward to seeing you at AGM 2027.
